I am a strategist with more than 16 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management and Administration in the telecommunications, public health, manufacturing and mining sectors. My key competencies, experience and expertise are in the development and implementation of supply chain and administration strategies, operational systems, policy and procedures, strategic global sourcing strategies, procurement operations, contracts management, logistics operations, warehousing and inventory management, and transport operations.
I joined the institute as an affiliate member in 2004, and have gradually upgraded my membership to Chartered Fellow status. My career path growth through professional development programmes has enabled me to gain practical skills which are key to the success of organisations, especially now when business environment is faced with volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity (VUCA).
During my term of office as the IVP/Chair of Africa Forum, I will work with the International Secretariat on any specific governance issues in the region, and support the International Secretariat in any communication to the countries and regions.
I will work closely with the Institute to establish new country branches, develop strategies to increase membership in existing member countries, and promote CILT as the first choice for logistics and supply chain professionals.
I will oversee preparations for Africa Forum, coordinate and support YP and WILAT activities, and coordinate the lobbying for National, Regional and Continental recognition of CILT, including supporting and aiding the continued development of branch and territory organisations.
