The Maritime Training Institute, Karachi has won the Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce & Industry achievement award for education for the second consecutive year.

The Maritime Training Institute, Karachi has won the Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce & Industry achievement award for education for the second consecutive year.

The Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry is a body which regulates and monitors performance of all Chambers of Commerce & Industry in the Country and its Members in particular.

Last year the FPCCI introduced Achievement Awards in various categories for the first time with the Maritime Training institute winning the Education and Training category.

The 2013 event was held at The Pearl Continental Hotel, Karachi where renowned Nuclear Scientist Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan presented the awards. Capt. S.M.A Mahmoodi, Joint honorary Secretary of CILT Pakistan accepted the gold medal award on behalf of the Maritime Training Institute.

This year’s event was also held at The Pearl Continental Hotel, Karachi when awards were presented by the President of Pakistan, H.E Mamnoon Hussain Khan. Capt Mahmoodi once again received the award for the Maritime Training Institute.

On 18th November 2014 Maritime Training Institute received further recognition when they were presented with a “Highly commended training award” at Lloyd’s List Middle East & Indian Subcontinent awards event held at JW Marriott Hotel, Dubai.
