Over 200 delegates from 15 countries across Africa and beyond were welcomed to CILT’s Africa Forum today by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Mauritius, Sir Anerood Jugnauth.

The Prime Minister met with representatives from the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport before officially launching the 2016 Africa Conference and delivering a keynote presentation to delegates.

The opening ceremony continued with presentations from CILT International President Elect Kevin Byrne, Secretary General Keith Newton and President of CILT Mauritius Naden Padayachi

Also on the agenda this morning were the Women in Logistics and Transport (WILAT) Africa Conference where delegates were welcomed by Global Convenor Aisha Ali Ibrahim, and an Education Forum hosted by Secretary General Keith Newton and International Professional Development Co-ordinator Jon Harris
