CILT International Launches Global Rail Group at 2025 International Convention

CILT International launches the Global Rail Group, a new professional network uniting rail experts worldwide to share knowledge, collaborate, and shape the future of rail.

We are proud to announce the creation of the CILT International Global Rail Group (GRG), officially launched at the 2025 CILT International Convention in Colombo.

The GRG is founded and led by Andrew Young FCILT, International Vice President – CILT Americas Region, North America Board Member since 2020, and Chair of the Group, together with Darren King FCILT, Vice Chair, Member of CILT UK and Strategic Rail Advisor at WSP.

The Group has been established to bring together rail professionals from across the world to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and collaborate on the big challenges and opportunities facing the industry, from capacity and connectivity, to cost and benefits, sustainability and innovation.

Our aim is to build a truly international community that supports professional growth while strengthening the role of rail in delivering economic, social and environmental benefits.
