Visa Information

A visitor visa is issued to nationals or residents of countries with which Rwanda has a visa waiver agreement, including member states of the African Union (AU), the Commonwealth, and La Francophonie. This visa allows entry for any legitimate purpose other than employment and can be obtained upon arrival at the port of entry or through a Rwandan embassy.

Visa Fees

• Citizens of countries that are members of the African Union, the Commonwealth, and La Francophonie are eligible for a visa on arrival and are exempt from visa fees for stays of up to 30 days.
• All other delegates will be required to pay a visa fee of $50 upon arrival.

Visa Validity

Visitor visas are valid for a period of up to 90 days, depending on the applicant’s eligibility and travel purpose.
