Celebrating Our June Volunteer of the Month – Ms. Moipone C. Masalesa

Ms. Moipone C. Masalesa, June’s Volunteer of the Month, is recognised for advancing WiLAT South Africa, championing gender inclusion, and mentoring over 100 young logistics professionals.

CILT International is proud to recognise Ms. Moipone C. Masalesa (CILT South Africa) as our June Volunteer of the Month.

Moipone has been a trailblazer in logistics and transport for more than a decade, dedicating her leadership, passion, and expertise to strengthening WiLAT South Africa and empowering the next generation of leaders.

Her contributions span strategy, advocacy, training, and mentorship, leaving a lasting impact across South Africa and beyond.

Key highlights of Moipone’s work include:

Expanding the visibility and reach of WiLAT South Africa, strengthening its voice and credibility.
Advocating for gender inclusion across aviation, maritime, road and rail transport.
Building partnerships across the sector, including with Transnet, Lanseria International Airport, and other key logistics players.
Mentoring and training more than 100 young professionals, creating pathways into careers in logistics.
Establishing and growing Young Members Committees across South Africa and supporting pan-African youth networks.
Representing youth and women in global policy dialogues, ensuring that their voices are heard in conversations shaping the future of transport.

The Volunteer of the Month award honours the dedication and contributions of members who serve CILT in a voluntary capacity, generously giving their time, skills and passion to support our community and mission.

Eligible nominees are:

All members actively involved in CILT initiatives, events or projects as volunteers
Individuals who make a meaningful impact through their voluntary service
