Following the success of the inaugural event in 2024, the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) Central Asia proudly co-hosted the Second International Transport Forum in Almaty in April 2025. This year’s forum brought together over 300 participants from more than 120 companies across Central Asia, Europe, the United Arab Emirates, India, Azerbaijan, Russia, and China, reaffirming its status as a key platform for regional and global collaboration in the transport and logistics sector.

The forum featured a comprehensive multi-day program, combining strategic insights, practical exposure, and high-impact networking:
Day 1 opened with an exclusive site visit to the Atasu Group logistics terminal in the Almaty region, offering participants an in-depth look at operational excellence in one of Kazakhstan’s leading logistics hubs.
Day 2 was dedicated to the official forum program, where urgent industry challenges were addressed and actionable solutions proposed across three key sessions:
• “Transport Framework of Greater Eurasia: Standards of a New Reality”
• “Global Containerization: Challenges and New Opportunities”
• “Transport Corridors of Greater Eurasia: Prospects for Integration
Experts and business leaders explored issues ranging from infrastructure development and container flows to investment models, digital transformation, and cross-border cooperation.

The forum concluded with a technical business tour to the Kazakhstan-China border, where attendees visited the Dostyk—Alashankou terminal, operated by PTC Holding, the Forum’s General Partner. This visit provided valuable insight into the scale and strategic importance of transcontinental infrastructure and trade.
