International Education Standards Committee (IESC) Applications Now Open
Are you passionate about shaping the future of professional education? Applications are now open to join our International Education Standards Committee (IESC).
IESC is a committee of the International Management Committee with delegated powers. It is an important body in the Institute being the forum that maintains and develops the content and structure of the Body of Knowledge that forms the basis of our professional status and the suite of professional qualifications across the Institute. The IESC will meet at least once a quarter, so please consider how fully you are able to commit to this important committee.
Do you have expertise in designing or delivering education and training? Does your industry experience equip you with innovative ideas for the latest training needs in our sector? We’re looking for dedicated individuals to join our Committee to help revamp and evolve our suite of professional qualifications.
As a committee member, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Collaborate with other educators and experts to update and broaden our professional qualifications
- Explore creative solutions to enhance the learning experience of the 5,000 global learners we educate each year
- Shape the direction of our professional qualifications to meet the needs of both today’s learners and those of the future
Desirable skills we are looking for:
- Professional education specialist e.g. extensive work in designing or delivering apprenticeships or occupational standards.
- Deep understanding of National Qualifications Framework(s).
- Teaching qualification – FHEA, PGCE, PGCHE or similar for your country.
- Learning & Development specialist e.g. Leading career development for a corporate environment.
- Highly-experienced industry practitioner or consultant (with relevant qualifications).
- Academic operating in our field at a Higher Education Institution.
- Active researcher in our field – currently publishing high-quality outputs.
- Expert facilitator with substantial experience of delivering and evaluating professional qualifications and educational standards.
- International development expertise e.g. Government Advisory Boards for education and skills.
- Criticality and the ability to question and professionally challenge.
- Solutions-focussed approach.
