Celebrating Our Volunteer of the Month – Amra Zareer
CILT International is delighted to recognise Amra Zareer of CILT Sri Lanka as our latest Volunteer of the Month.
Amra’s contribution to both CILT and Global WiLAT is exceptional. Her work spans leadership, mentoring, branding, events and global communications and she has become a driving force behind WiLAT’s growth, visibility and engagement across regions.
For more than a decade, Amra has taken on a range of key roles across CILT Sri Lanka and WiLAT Sri Lanka, including Secretary, Vice Chairperson for Branding, Membership Development and Member Services, as well as Vice Chairperson for Membership Development for the branch. Her dedication has strengthened outreach to corporates and universities and she has played a central part in national conventions and branch branding initiatives.
Her impact reaches far beyond Sri Lanka. As Project Chair for WiLAT’s Ignite programme, she restructured its framework and redesigned the mentoring guidebook, creating a clearer and more valuable experience for young professionals. She has also been instrumental in shaping WiLAT’s digital presence, initiating and managing social media channels both locally and globally to boost awareness and engagement.
Amra now serves as Editor of Wings of Change and Global WiLAT Chairperson for External Relations and Publications. She supports the Global WiLAT Secretariat and Capacity Building Centre as Awareness Lead and regularly contributes content to the CILT website and the CILT Motion publication, ensuring the achievements and initiatives of WiLAT are well represented.
Alongside this, she mentors undergraduates regionally and internationally, offering guidance, encouragement and practical support to emerging young leaders.
