CILT Sri Lanka appoints Prof. H. R. Pasindu as President for 2026–2027

CILT Sri Lanka has appointed Prof. H. R. Pasindu as President for 2026 to 2027, following its 42nd AGM in Colombo, marking continued leadership and growth.

CILT Sri Lanka has marked an important moment in its ongoing development with the appointment of a new President, following its 42nd Annual General Meeting held in Colombo.

Taking place on Tuesday 31 March 2026 at the Hilton Colombo Residences, the AGM brought together members, industry professionals and distinguished guests to reflect on the year and look ahead to what comes next for the Institute in Sri Lanka.

During the meeting, Prof. H. R. Pasindu was formally elected as President of CILT Sri Lanka for the 2026–2027 term.

His appointment follows a year of continued leadership under outgoing President Chandima Hulangamuwa FCILT, who was re-elected for the 2025–2026 term, with Prof. Pasindu serving as President-Elect during that period. This transition reflects a natural progression in leadership and ensures continuity as the Institute builds on recent momentum.

The AGM also provided an opportunity to reaffirm CILT Sri Lanka’s commitment to advancing professional standards, strengthening knowledge sharing, and supporting the development of the logistics, transport and supply chain sector across the country. These priorities remain central to the Institute’s role as part of the wider global CILT community, which works to promote the movement of goods and people and the professionalisation of the sector worldwide

As the new President, Prof. Pasindu takes on the responsibility of guiding the Institute through its next phase, with a continued focus on industry engagement, professional development, and innovation across the sector.

CILT Sri Lanka’s Annual General Meeting remains a key milestone in its calendar, offering members the opportunity to come together, reflect on achievements, and shape the direction of the Institute for the year ahead.

We extend our congratulations to Prof. H. R. Pasindu on his appointment and look forward to supporting his leadership in the year ahead.
