International Entry Award in Logistics and Transport
The CILT International Entry Level Award in Logistics and Transport has been designed to offer an entry-level overview and a basic insight into the logistics and transport industry.
It is ideally suited for younger students or anyone looking for a general overview of the logistics and transport industry. This is an entry-level qualification and is open access for all students. It can also be used as a ‘full’ course or as individual modules to support apprenticeship / internship opportunities, allowing the student to mix and match their taught elements with on-the-job experience.
Three mandatory units make up the course, which can be delivered as an intensive short course, or a slightly longer part-time offer. It is assessed by two short-answer examinations and the assessment of a student workbook. Upon completion, students can progress onto other CILT International qualifications.
International Introductory Certificate in Logistics and Transport
The CILT International Introductory Certificate in Logistics and Transport offers a broad understanding of the principles, applications and concepts of logistics and transport industry. It gives students the opportunity to focus on an area of specialism to gain introductory knowledge of their professional sector. Whilst it would be beneficial for the candidate to have some working knowledge of the industry, this is not essential.
The course consists of four modules; two mandatory and two optional (allowing for students to specialise in their chosen area). All modules are assessed by written examination, consisting of short-answer questions.
Some educational partners may offer each unit as its own distinct short award with assessment and certification, allowing students to complete further units and the full qualification at a time to suit them.
The full Introductory Certificate may be delivered as an intensive short course, or a slightly longer part-time offer.
