Student perspectives

Graduates from KMI’s CILT-accredited programmes shared how learning with CILT International has reshaped their professional outlook and strengthened their impact within the logistics and transport sector.

The CILT Diploma in Sustainable Supply Chains, Digitalisation and Logistics transformed how I approach transport operations. As a logistics coordinator in a trucking company, I now integrate sustainability into route planning and fleet optimisation. The programme gave me the confidence to lead digital transitions and reduce our carbon footprint. It is more than a qualification; it is a mindset shift.

Lovedale Virukai, Logistics Manager, Kinking Investments, Harare, Zimbabwe

Completing the KMI–CILT International Certificate in Fleet Management gave me a new perspective on how warehouse operations connect with transport efficiency. At PSH, I now work more closely with our fleet team to streamline dispatch schedules, reduce idle time and improve delivery turnaround. The programme helped me see the bigger picture – how every movement in the warehouse impacts the fleet and ultimately, customer satisfaction.

Cephas Dukuche, Warehouse Operations Officer, PSH

As a laboratory scientist and Regional Study Coordinator Intern, I have applied insights from the DSSCDL programme to strengthen clinical research coordination through sustainability, resilience and supply chain efficiency. Integrating digital tools into participant recruitment and follow-up has reduced loss to follow-up and operational costs while improving reliability. The programme empowered me to align research logistics and supply chain management with global health priorities.

Kudzai F. V. Chokuona, Regional Study Coordinator Intern, Africa Clinical Research Network (Mutala Trust), Harare, Zimbabwe

These reflections show how professional learning under the CILT umbrella translates directly into practical change, reinforcing how connection begins with education.
