John Lee Highlights Global Collaboration at CILT International Convention 2026
The Honourable John KC Lee, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, highlighted the importance of international collaboration when he addressed the opening ceremony of the CILT International Convention 2026 in Hong Kong on 22 September.
Speaking under the Convention theme, “Global Corridors, Collaboration Excellence”, Mr Lee outlined four corridors underpinning the logistics masterplan within Hong Kong’s First Five Year Plan. His address connected plans for cold chain trade, freight connectivity, green maritime fuel and digital systems with the need for cooperation across borders.
“No logistics hub succeeds alone,” he told delegates.

Mr Lee linked these priorities to the Convention’s focus on collaboration, welcoming cooperation with international partners. He pointed to growing links across the Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Greater Bay Area as part of the region’s development.
He also recognised CILT Hong Kong’s contribution to promoting logistics excellence and thanked both CILT Hong Kong and CILT International. In closing, he encouraged delegates to use their time in Hong Kong to build connections through knowledge, partnership and trust.
