CILT Zimbabwe to Host National Transport, Logistics and Infrastructure Conference at Victoria Falls

CILT Zimbabwe brings industry and government together at Victoria Falls to explore sustainable transport, logistics, infrastructure, innovation and regional economic development.

CILT Zimbabwe will bring together leaders from across government, industry and the profession this September for its National Transport, Logistics and Infrastructure Conference 2026 at Victoria Falls.

Taking place from 9 to 11 September at Elephant Hills Hotel, the three day conference will explore the future of Zimbabwe’s transport, logistics and infrastructure sectors under the theme Driving Sustainable Transport, Logistics Excellence and Infrastructure Development for Economic Transformation.

The event will bring together government leaders, policymakers, logistics and transport practitioners, academics and industry stakeholders from Zimbabwe and the wider region to exchange knowledge, strengthen collaboration and explore practical approaches to sustainable development.

Responding to Zimbabwe’s transport and logistics challenges

As Zimbabwe’s economy develops and regional trade continues to grow, pressure on the country’s transport and logistics infrastructure is increasing.

Zimbabwe plays an important role in regional trade and connectivity, making efficient transport networks, resilient supply chains and continued infrastructure investment increasingly important to long term economic development.

The conference will provide a platform to examine these challenges while encouraging practical discussion around the policies, investment, technology and collaboration needed to support a more efficient and sustainable transport and logistics sector.

Key areas of focus

Across the conference programme, delegates will explore eight areas:

  • Integrated transport and infrastructure development
  • Smart logistics and transport
  • Seamless supply chain solutions
  • Public private partnership opportunities
  • Green mobility initiatives
  • Skills development for current and future supply chains
  • Adoption of emerging technologies and associated challenges
  • Responsive and sustainable logistics and supply chain operations

Together, these themes will provide opportunities to consider both immediate industry challenges and the longer term development of transport, logistics and infrastructure across Zimbabwe.

Bringing the sector together

The programme will feature experienced logistics and supply chain practitioners, researchers, academics and business leaders from across the industry.

By bringing together perspectives from the public and private sectors, the conference aims to encourage stronger collaboration and develop practical outcomes for the profession.

Expected areas of focus include recommendations supporting sustainable transport development, increased dialogue around infrastructure investment, greater adoption of digital technologies and stronger cooperation between public and private sector stakeholders.
