Over 380 delegates attended the 2015 Annual Conference of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) in Sri Lanka. The theme of the highly successful event held in Colombo on 19 November was “Logistics to power the world”

Eran Wickramaratne, Deputy Minister of State Enterprise Development, pointed out that the Logistics Service Sector can play a lead role in bringing economic prosperity to Sri Lanka and  highlighted the vitality of developing this sector.

Finance Minister, Ravi Karunanayake, Minister of Ports and Shipping, Arjuna Ranatunge and State minister of International Trade, Sujeewa Senasinghe, also participated in this event.

Jan Steenberg, International Vice President and Chairman of the International Education Standards Committee represented the International Council of Trustees at the event. He addressed delegates on the importance of Continuing Professional Development and discussed how this is supported by the Institute
