Support our Global Day Celebrations and 105 Years of CILT!
This year marks an extraordinary milestone for the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) as we celebrate 105 years of shaping the logistics, transport, and supply chain industries. As part of this landmark occasion, we are thrilled to announce an upcoming Global Day of celebration, which will take place on 3rd November 2024. This day will honour the incredible contributions of our global community, recognising the essential role we all play in keeping the world connected.
The official title and theme of our global day are still to be confirmed, but we want to start building awareness and participation within our global community. This will be a day of unity and reflection on the remarkable achievements of CILT over the last century and beyond.
To make this celebration truly representative of our vibrant international network, we invite all CILT members to contribute to our pre-campaign activities. We want to hear your voices, experiences, and insights!
We are calling for quotes, stories, and images from our members. We want to know about your personal journey with CILT and how being part of the Institute has shaped your career. We’d also love to hear your thoughts on the critical role that logistics, transport, and supply chain play as the backbone of global connectivity.
Whether it’s a memorable story, a lesson learned, or a quick reflection, your input will help us create a powerful narrative around our global community. Selected submissions will be featured in our celebratory materials and showcased to our global audience!
To help you get involved in the global celebration, we will be providing a range of resources that you can use to mark the occasion locally with your fellow CILT members, networks, and communities. In the coming weeks, members will be able to download:
- Event Toolkits: Posters, banners, and social media graphics to help you promote the global day.
- Global Webinar Registration: We’ll be hosting a webinars featuring industry leaders and CILT experts to commemorate the day.
- Local Activity Ideas: Suggestions for events you can organise at a local level.
- Global Participation: Inspiring snippets that showcase the incredible impact of our members across the world.
We encourage members to host local activities that align with our global theme. Whether it’s organising a webinar, holding a small gathering, or sharing stories online, there are plenty of ways to get involved and celebrate the day in your own way.

CILT has been a key part of our members professional journey, connecting them with experts and insights from around the world. Over the years, I’ve seen how our work in logistics, transport and supply chain keeps industries moving and communities thriving. It’s amazing to be part of something that plays such a crucial role in the global economy. I’m proud to celebrate 105 years of CILT and be part of a community that’s shaping the future of our industry.
In order to sustain our promotion of this initiative, and to utilise our global voice, we hope to share a series of statements from around the world in support of our Global Day and to acknowledge the members that make our Institute great.
Submission Guidelines
We would be grateful for similar quotations/statements from members from around the globe who are happy for us to share internationally.
- What we’re looking for: Short quotes, inspiring stories, and images.
- Deadline: All submissions must be sent by 30th October 2024.
- Format: Images can be simple phone images, and stories/quotes can be brief or detailed—whatever best captures your experience.
If you wish to join in, please download our media consent form and complete our campaign submissions form with your statement, image consent and your details. For image submissions, please include a photograph of yourself against a neutral background.
