WiLAT Announces New Global Leadership Team to Drive Next Phase of Growth

Doreen Owusu-Fianko and Reshma Yousuf have been appointed to lead WiLAT globally, marking a new phase following recent leadership transition and continued network growth.

The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) is pleased to announce the appointment of Doreen Owusu-Fianko FCILT as Global Chairperson of Women in Logistics and Transport (WiLAT), alongside Reshma Yousuf FCILT as Deputy Global Chairperson.

These appointments mark an important new chapter for WiLAT, following a period of transition and continued momentum across the global network.

In September 2025, Vicky Koo FCILT stepped down as Global WiLAT Chairperson to take up the role of Honorary Secretary at CILT International. During her tenure, Vicky played a significant role in strengthening WiLAT’s global presence, supporting collaboration across regions, and championing the advancement of women across the supply chain, logistics and transportation sector.

Following this, Gayani de Alwis FCILT returned to the role as Interim Global Chairperson, bringing with her deep institutional knowledge and a longstanding connection to WiLAT. Having previously served as Global Chairperson, Gayani has made a lasting impact on the WiLAT network since co-founding WiLAT Sri Lanka in 2013. Her leadership ensured continuity during a key transition period, maintaining momentum across the global network.

CILT International extends its sincere thanks to both Vicky and Gayani for their leadership, commitment and lasting contribution to the growth and impact of WiLAT worldwide.

Now, with a new leadership team in place, WiLAT is well positioned to build on this foundation and move confidently into its next phase.

Doreen Owusu-Fianko FCILT, a highly respected aviation and tourism executive with over four decades of leadership experience, brings extensive expertise in governance, international strategy, and institutional development to the role . A long-standing advocate for gender inclusion and professional development, she has played a pivotal role in advancing WiLAT across Africa and globally, and remains deeply committed to supporting the next generation of women in the industry.

Alongside her, Reshma Yousuf FCILT steps into the role of Deputy Global Chairperson. A Chartered Fellow of CILT and recognised leader in logistics, supply chain development and capacity building, Reshma brings over 25 years of industry experience spanning multimodal transport, Dangerous Goods logistics, and professional education .

As Founder and Principal Consultant of CLLB Sdn Bhd, she has led the development of industry-focused training and certification programmes, strengthening workforce capability across Malaysia and the wider region. A strong advocate for sustainability and inclusion, she has played a leading role in advancing green practices through Global WiLAT and supporting capacity building initiatives for women across the sector.

Together, the new Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson will lead WiLAT’s global network into its next phase, with a strong focus on collaboration, professional development, and expanding opportunities for women across the sector.

With renewed leadership and a clear direction, WiLAT is set to deliver an ambitious programme of initiatives and activity, continuing to support, connect and champion women in logistics, transport and supply chain across the world.
