Our Royal Charter and Bye-laws
The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) is governed by its Royal Charter, granted in 1926, and the accompanying Bye-laws, as approved by the Lords of Her Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council. These documents define our purpose, structure, and the professional standards by which we operate as a global organisation for professionals in supply chain, logistics, and transportation.
As part of our commitment to transparency and good governance, CILT International makes these foundational documents available to our members and the wider community.
