An Update from the International President: August

Dear CILT Community,
As we move through August, I am pleased to share several important updates and opportunities that reflect our commitment to connecting, recognising and advancing our global community.
International Convention Extended Early Bird Registration
The countdown continues to our landmark CILT International Convention this September. Early bird registration has now been extended until 31 August 2025. This is an excellent opportunity to secure your place at this must-attend event. The detailed agenda and speaker information will be released very shortly, offering a rich programme of insights, innovation and networking. As part of your registration, you are invited to join the Swapcard platform, our interactive event hub designed to maximise your experience before during and after the convention. Details on accessing Swapcard for those who have registered will be available shortly.
Celebrating Volunteer Excellence
I would like to recognise our outstanding Volunteer of the Month for May Associate Professor Ts Dr Jessica Ong Hai Liaw FCILT. Her dedication exemplifies the spirit of volunteering that powers CILT. If you know a colleague or member making an exceptional contribution, please nominate them for our next Volunteer of the Month by Friday 22 August 2025. Every contribution counts towards making us Stronger Together. Read more about our May winner here.

With this announcement, we also want to encourage you to nominate someone who deserves recognition for their volunteer work. Submissions for the next Volunteer of the Month will close on Friday 22 August 2025. This is your chance to highlight those individuals who have made a difference in their communities and across our network.
Call for Submissions to International Membership Standards Committee
We are currently inviting nominations to join the International Membership Standards Committee (IMSC). This is a key opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development and governance of professional membership standards across CILT.
The deadline for nominations is Tuesday 26 August 2025. We encourage all branches, territories and forums to consider putting forward candidates with the experience and commitment to support this vital work. Read the full call for nominations here.
