Celebrating Chief Teete OWUSU NORTEY FCILT FGIPS as he completes his presidency
As the year draws to a close, we take a moment to recognise Chief Teete OWUSU NORTEY FCILT FGIPS, who completes his presidency on 31 December after two years of dedicated service to our global community.
Chief has guided CILT International through a chapter shaped by connection, visibility and collaboration. His belief that we are stronger when we work together has been a defining thread throughout his term.
Under his leadership, our reach has continued to grow, with branches and territories in more than 40 countries and members in over 100 countries worldwide. His support across our international network helped strengthen relationships and widen CILT’s presence, including the 2025 Africa Forum in Kigali and the International Convention in Colombo, both of which brought global voices together to explore the future of sustainable logistics and transport.
As part of his personal contribution to the development of the Forum, Chief also designed the Africa Forum logo. This visual identity has become a recognised symbol of the annual gathering and now forms a lasting part of his legacy, reflecting his commitment to strengthening the Forum for future years.
Chief oversaw the launch of the Global Rail Group and helped extend CILT’s internationally recognised qualifications into the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. His presidency also saw the introduction of CILT’s first global magazine, The World in Motion, and the establishment of the Global Day of Supply Chain, Logistics and Transportation, now marked annually on 3 November and coinciding with CILT’s 106th anniversary in 2025.
His “Boots on the Ground” visits continued to strengthen partnerships across Ghana, South Africa, Nigeria, Malaysia and Türkiye, offering encouragement and visibility to branches across the network. The introduction of the Volunteer of the Month initiative further demonstrated his commitment to recognising the people whose dedication powers CILT’s work around the world.
It has been a great privilege to serve as President of CILT International. Working alongside such a committed global community has reinforced my belief that when we collaborate with purpose, we can achieve far more than any one region or individual could alone. I am deeply grateful for the trust, energy and dedication shown throughout my presidency.
We thank Chief Teete OWUSU NORTEY FCILT FGIPS for his leadership, warmth and steady commitment to the values at the heart of CILT International. His contribution has left a clear and lasting mark on the organisation, and the legacy of his presidency will carry forward as we enter a new chapter in 2026.
