CILT Malaysia’s 2025 convocation honoured leaders across supply chain, logistics and transportation, with Chief Teete recognising outstanding contributions and celebrating professional excellence across the sector.

The CILT Malaysia Convocation 2025 brought together distinguished professionals from across the country to celebrate achievement, leadership and service within the profession. The ceremony, held at the Shah Alam Convention Centre, was attended by our International President, Chief Teete OWUSU-NORTEY FCILT FGIPS, who joined CILT Malaysia in recognising contributions that continue to strengthen Malaysia’s transport and logistics ecosystem.

This year, two prominent figures in the logistics and maritime sectors were among 33 industry leaders awarded the Chartered Fellow (FCILT) title, the highest level of professional recognition within CILT. Datuk Seri Patrick Tiong Chiong Kui, chief executive officer of the Lion Logistics Group of Companies, and Mizool Amir Mat Drus, general manager of the Labuan Port Authority, were honoured for their leadership, innovation and long-term contributions to the sector.

The convocation also recognised professionals across aviation, public transport, rail and supply chain management, reflecting the depth and diversity of Malaysia’s transport and logistics community.

CILT Malaysia deputy president Dr Zawiah Abdul Majid highlighted the increasing importance of capable and visionary leaders in supporting Malaysia’s supply chain resilience and regional connectivity. She also noted the chapter’s continued commitment to developing professional standards, accreditation and education since its establishment in 1965.
