Integrating Green Supply Chain Management Practices in Business

Abstract

As environmental issues have become a major global concern, organizations are required to implement environmental-friendly practices. While traditionally, supply chain management was mainly concerned about cost-efficiency, profitmaking and ensuring customer satisfaction, the current scenario goes beyond that. Managing a green supply chain is a win-win scenario for the organization as well as the planet. Recently, we have seen many big companies taking vows to work only with suppliers who abide by social and environmental standards. However, it is easier said than done. Several giants have also faced reputational damage as their suppliers compromised on these grounds. So, what we need is a more practical and sustainable solution.
