Mrs Nazeema Seelarbokus (chairperson) and members of the Women in Logistics and Transport (WilAT) Group in Mauritus visited the President of the Republic of Mauritius on Friday 10 June 2016

WilAT Mauritius, the newest member of the WiLAT Global Family, was launched in March during this year’s Africa Forum at the InterContinental hotel, Mauritius. Her Excellency, Mrs Ameenah Gurib-Fakim, was present at the launching ceremony where she agreed to take on the role of Matron of the WilAT  group in Mauritius

The international objective of WILAT is to empower and promote women working in the logistics and transport industry and to encourage and support their career development.

During the meeting at the State House, the goals and developmental objectives of WiLAT Mauritius were discussed. The President assured Mrs. Seelarbokus of her support and promised that her office will facilitate future meetings to ensure that the group’s mandate is fully established and achieved.
