I was appointed as first Chairperson of WiLAT Mauritius in March 2016.  I became a Chartered Member of CILT in May 2015 and have always been recognised as a dynamic and dedicated member of the CILT family.

I presently hold the position of Quality Coordinator at the Mauritius Ports Authority (MPA) which is certified to the ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 Standards.

As a transport and logistics professional with over 13 years of working experience, I have also been lecturing on a part time basis at the University of Technology on the Law of Multimodal Transport and Quality Management modules to students reading for a B.Sc. (Hons) in Logistics and Transport.  I hold several academic and professional qualifications, such as a Master in Business Administration (General) from the University of Technology and am a Graduate member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators, UK.

I have gained wide exposure and experience as the Chairperson of WiLAT Mauritius and also Chairperson of the Women’s Wing of the Ports Association of the Indian Ocean Islands (PAIOI). All the seminars, forums, conferences which were organised under my stewardship were based on the strategic thrusts of WiLAT which are  empowerment, mentorship, entrepreneurship and leadership.

As the newly nominated WiLAT Global Vice Chairperson of the Indian Ocean Islands, I will endeavour to advance the vision and mission of WiLAT at a regional level, with increased vigour and passion to create a commitment mindset that is challenging ; the challenge is that the organisation’s leadership must create an atmosphere that empowers and supports employees especially women to become engaged leaders.   I have no doubt that with proper team building, we can create a culture focused on ethical behaviour, quality and concern for our womenfolk.
